GUIDE: How to reset your BlackBerry to factory...
Recently I was put on my company’s BES server, and within about 30 minutes I realized that I hated it. I didn’t realize how much control the BES server controls how your BlackBerry works. Everything from my call log to my mobile contact backup with T-Mobile stopped working.  I thought that removing the phone’s PIN from the BES administration would put everything back to normal...

Goodbye, Twitter!
Most of you that know me know that I love twitter and if you ever enabled SMS Text’s for when I update my Twitter, I’m sure you’ve turned it off by now - sorry. For the longest time I’ve been trying to find a desktop client that I could run on my desktop so that I wouldn’t have to keep going to twitter.com every 3 seconds. I’ve tried every client from...

Wow, T-Mobile fail.
I’ve had some problems with my BlackBerry 8900 from T-Mobile. I contacted their customer service via chat tonight. The lady is so far out there, it’s just so funny. She just copy and pasted right from the manual: Your equipment should arrive within 7 business days, excluding weekends and holidays. (Inform customer of any estimated delay - see Daily News >Handset Delivery...

All-nighter
I have to say last night was a first for me; I spend the whole night from when I got out of class at 8:45 until 12 noon today at the school studying for a test that I had today. I’ve never spent so much time learning and figuring out all this calculus. Hontestly, I never want to do it again. If I would of just paid more attention in class, then I would never of had such a hard time trying...

You know what I'm really craving right now...
…A big ‘ol Macbook Pro. My whole life I’ve been using Microsoft products and I’ve enjoyed it and never really understood the reasoning behind switching to Apple products, but now I just can’t help but think about it. Being in college, I see Macbook’s all over campus and sometimes I just want one. Well, Christmas is coming up and I’m starting to crave a...

Blackberry 4 Life!
I just can’t get enough of my Blackberry!! As much as I want to get an iPhone, I just don’t see it being useful at all in a business setting. Yeah, it’s a great toy - but that’s why I have the iPod Touch. It’s nothing against Apple, it’s just I don’t think it’s become the enterprise phone that it needs to be. I’m sure many of you would...

IM: Not coming soon
twitterstatus: In October 2006, just three months after Twitter launched publicly, we added IM support—i.e., the ability to get and send tweets via XMPP/Jabber/Google Talk. I was a big fan of this feature, because this interface, which millions of people were already familiar with, seemed a perfect fit for Twitter’s real-time nature. In December of 2006, we extended that support to AIM,...

Coca-Cola uses the shrink-ray, too!
In a time where people are crunched for money and are really thirsty - Coca-Cola has done something that I think will catch on a few months/years from now and that is reduce both the price and size of their single serve packaging. In coming months Coca-Cola is adding more and more test market states such as Georgia where they’re going to go into c-store’s/gas stations and take out all...

Rant Blog, Welcomes eCost
My blog has really become a place for me to rant about what really pisses me off. The latest edition includes eCost.com We all know that eCost has some really big problems with customer service, as you can see from their ResellerRating.com rating. Having a 1/10 isn’t the best way to get new customers for your site. Either way, most of the problems have been with people purchasing items and...

Twitterific.
There is nothing I love more than being able to know news, facts and just plain information before everyone else. Hurricane Gustav has shown as a great example of what I’m talking about. With the click of the mouse, I can give you updates on what the @redcross is doing as far as open shelters, how many people they’ve had register on their website as being “safe”; I can...

Truvia is truely amazing.
If you know me you know that I’m not a big fan of anything artificial, I really like to have natural things as much as possible. A big problem with drinks like Coke Zero, Diet Coke, etc is that they aren’t made with natural sweeteners. Truthfully, not much of anything ‘diet’ is made with natural sweeteners. A partnership with Coca-Cola and Cargill has resulted in...

3 seconds.
That’s how long I had SocialBrowse (a Firefox plugin) installed before I uninstalled it. I installed the beta of SocialBrowse and everything seemed okay for a few seconds and then I was flooded with “follower” requests or whatever they’re called and emails to go with them, and started seeing comments from my new followers without me approving them or anything. No thanks,...

Crude oil is on the cheap, gasp.
Looks like oil is holding stedy, praise the Lord. I saw $3.67 this weekend, I couldn’t believe it, after being $4.09 last week. NOTE: This crude oil price shows the most up-to-date price, it has changed since I first posted this.

Credit Cards are the sux.
I’ve been attending Columbus State University for some while now and I love it. It’s been a great school, great teachers, great technology, everything couldn’t be better but when it came to Student ID’s they thought “Hey. Let’s make the Student ID cards a credit card. Yeah! That would be awesome” So our student ID cards look and act like credit cards,...

Question (at) you
I’ve been on the internet for years and I’ve never understood one thing. When you’re talking to people on message boards or FriendFeed or whatever. I get that people think that if they spell it out that spammers can’t get you but I’ve got Gmail and its SPAM filter, add me to your...

Gmail is amazing.
I’ve been using Gmail since it first came out years and years ago. I bought my e-mail address invite off eBay for $20+ dollars because I knew that if Google was behind an e-mail program, I wanted to be apart of it. I registered and then fell in love. It’s been the best thing to ever happy to e-mail for me, it took me away from my ISP people, work e-mail EVERYTHING. When Gmail does...

New facebook layout, update
They’re starting to roll out some of the features that they said would come, so I would say the new layout is coming soon. First in line of upgrades to the beta layout for developers is the “post” box that allows you to post a number of things and they also updated the design of the tabs. More updates coming soon.

Speedracer.
I saw that a few people were throwing up their speed tests, like Stammy which is getting like 70+mbps which is crazy. I know that our statewide school network gets 2gbps from the hub, which is crazy. You can get upwards of 30mbps at any moment (and we’re about 100 miles from the source) Here are my home speeds: Here are my work speeds (T1-ish):

T-Mobile goes with pro-rated ETF's.
In a move that’s a boon for consumers everywhere, T-Mobile has made public their plans to implement a pro-rated ETF for new customers. Under the new plan, T-Mobile subscribers with less than 6 months on their contract will only be subjected to a $100 dollar fee, which is half of the usual $200 charge. Anyone with less than 3 months left will pay $50, and consumers hoping to jump ship during their...

Windows XP coming to an end, June 30th.
After a pretty long transition to Windows Vista, Windows XP is finally being phased out June 30th. Of course, this all won’t be at once but over the next year XP will slowly be falling off the charts. Personally I still have Windows XP on all of my computers at both home and work - I need to start upgrading them soon. The only problem for me and many others is RAM. I have a 2.5 year old...

Okay, so today hasn’t been the luckiest day starting at 3am when the AC decided it was going to give out and have to be replaced, then dropped one of my phones and it broke into a million pieces, law mower broke— anyways back to the most important part (technology). Today while reading an article on how Google Browser Sync was going to be discontinued, I started looking around for a...

Yahoo picks up AdSense, Google/Yahoo share IM.
Just recieved this e-mail from the Google Investor Relations group. It seems that they’re going to be allowing Yahoo to use Google’s AdSense technology and on top of that they’re going to allow interoperability between GTalk and Yahoo Messager. Now Google/GTalk/Gmail has some AIM support, Yahoo! support, Yahoo! supports MSN interoperability, so we’re just one big happy...

Forget NetFlix, I have Red Box.
I’ve never been a huge fan of NetFlix because it cost way too much for people that don’t watch more than 10 movies a month. So, I’ve always looked into other venues to rent movies. I stopped renting from Blockbuster about 2 years ago when The New Release installed a rental machine in the Publix next door. Then when our new Super Dupper Wal-Mart opened down the street they...

One of the hardest things about being on the go all the time, is getting files such as spreadsheets, presentations, and important office documents to the people I need to get them time, when they need them. iPhone/iPod Touch 2.0 Firmware, June 27th
According to a graphic on Apple’s Autralian iPod Touch site, you will be able to upgrade to the newest 2.0 firmware (which will include the App Store) on June 27th. NOTE: This graphic is not on the US site. One more thing… This will be a free upgrade for iPhone owners but Apple was nice enough to slam another $9.95 fee to upgrade to the newest firmware, how sweet. Thanks again,...
